Date: Saturday, September 30, 11:00 am – 2:50 pm
Place: Korea Daily College Fair, Birmingham Community Charter High School

Welcome to Major Fair 2017! Major Fair is an annual event organized by Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) to provide high school and college students opportunities to learn about various majors in STEM and their roles in society, network with mentors in the field, and interactively find potential career path. This year, marking its third year, Major Fair is collaborating with Korea Daily College Fair to provide more opportunities to wider range of participants, thanks to Korea Daily’s accommodation.

The program consists of three parts, each designed to expose different levels and perspectives of STEM majors: panel discussion sessions, lunch table discussion, and showcase booths. Furthermore, mentors from various backgrounds, such as healthcare (medical, dental, pharmacy), pure sciences (math, biology, chemistry, physics), engineering (civil, mechanical, chemical, biomedical, electrical) and computer sciences (computer science, data science, bioinformatics) will be present to ensure all grounds are covered.

Major Fair 2017 organizers collectively wish all of you to benefit the most out of the programs prepared. Whether this is your first time meeting current students in the major of interest and professionals in the fields of interest, or your hundredth time networking and interacting with them, we strongly believe that this event will provide an eye-opening moments for all of you. Please come prepared with your stories, questions, and most importantly, curiosity about various STEM majors!

Lunch Table Discussion

Lunch table discussion is designed to give further networking time with mentors in a casual setting over lunch. Although there will be a facilitator per each table to start off conversation, participants are strongly recommended to come equipped with questions. Due to limited number of speakers and tables, participants will be allowed to attend in a first-come-first-serve basis. Lunch is generously prepared by Korea Daily. Please see below for speakers in attendance.
